The Fitnessgarage Stability Plank Exercise

The plank exercise is a great way to build endurance in both the abs and back, as well as the stabilizer muscles. This move is also great for building strength for pushups and is an exercise that requires quite a bit of core strength. With that said, at the Fitnessgarage, trainer Igor Seriba was able to create a plank exercise which effectively challenges an individuals balance, strenght and core. This plank exercise requires a yoga ball as well as the balance board machine known as the surf boy. In the video we see that the person doing the exercise has to actively engage their muscles, while maintaining a great level of focus . This allows for, improvement in strength and balance. Although this plank exercise appears to be simple, it is actually very challenging, but with a little practice you can too make it look effortless.
