Sprint Camp will increase your speed (rate of forward motion), agility (the ability to change direction without losing speed) and quickness (speed in which feet move in a particular pattern) by focusing on running technique and footwork.
Our program strengthens the muscles necessary for running, jumping and changing direction. Also, we will create habits that give the kids an advantage over their competition, such as proper stretching technique, coordination of breathing while moving, and drills kids can take home and use for a lifetime.
What to expect at Sprint Camp:
Our main focus will be working on the form of running. Which will increase speed by breaking down all the parts of the body involved and how they contribute to the forward motion. One way we will do this is by teaching the kids to control their center of gravity by pushing their hips forward as they run. Another part of the body we will focus on is the foot and how to strike the ground to propel oneself efficiently. Our drills will be very basic agile movements while keeping form.
What to bring:
-running shoes (very important for sturdiness on the track)
-shorts and t-shirts (we will be outside)
-your focus and hard work
note:
please eat breakfast beforehand (Preferably something with plenty of carbohydrates for energy and protein for their muscles).
